Sally Burnham owns K-9 Sanctuary, in Savannah, TN,  but the doors will be closing soon and she needs your help.  Burnham had to recently file Dogs Need HomesChapter 13 bankruptcy and if her home sells she will have to vacate the property along with nearly 70 dogs.

Burnham said she can live in her car, it doesn’t matter to her.  But the dogs can’t live in her car.  She said, “As humans, we will adjust.  It’s the dogs I’m worried about.  And that’s the bottom line.  I am worried about every one of them on the yard.”

The no-kill sanctuary gave all of the dogs a second chance at a good life.  They were all strays, surrendered, or rescued.  Burnham is a retired navy vet and is hoping she can find a home for each and every dog.

“If the house sells, and I have to vacate the property–every one of these dogs either has to be euthanized or the sheriff will come out and shoot them,” said Burnham.  “I’ve had a lot of these dogs since they were babies.  I can’t see putting them down.  They’re loving dogs–they just need homes.”

Most of the dogs are up to date on their shots and are spayed or neutered.  Burnham is hoping to find other no-kill shelters and people to adopt the precious dogs and she needs all the help she can get.  To help find the dogs homes she has waved the adoption fees.
