Last Friday mom and dad took Teddy to the vet cause his back leg was hurting him again. He wouldn’t even put it on the ground when he was just standing and he ran around on three legs. So off to the vet they went. Teddy was so excited to go in the car that he quickly jumped into the back seat but he got stuck between dad’s seat and the back seat! Mom and dad had to literally pull him out of the back seat by his rear end and put him in again. Dummy dad…doesn’t he know that he should put the seat up before us big dogs get in the car? It just isn’t polite of him to not put the seat up so we don’t get stuck! Anyways, they got to the vet and Teddy got out of the car on his own. I think Teddy didn’t realize he was at the vet’s cause he was excited and he went right up to the glass door and then…oh no! He saw George the vet and he put on the brakes! He started backing up and mom was pushing on his rear end and dad was pulling on his leash. They weren’t getting anywhere with that, so dad picked Teddy up and carried him in. It was quite a site! Teddy is one big dog and dad was carrying him by the chest into the office. Once they got him in the office he was actually pretty good. He didn’t growl at George this time so he didn’t have to wear a muzzle George examined him and decided that his knee is out of place and there isn’t a whole lot we can do except for maybe surgery. He gave him a cortisone shot and mom has been giving him an aspirin daily. He is walking on his leg and it doesn’t seem to hurt him as much. Mom has also been watching him and not letting him run around on it. She is hoping it gets better cause surgery costs lots of money
Valentine’s Day Ball
Ash has a date to the Ball! Teddy and I are so excited for her! We know she will have a great time and we totally approve of her date! He is one special guy. He is Grady from over at The Grady Report. If you don’t know Grady, you really need to check him out! He is a very special Golden!
Mom is Boss!
Dad has been out of town all week so mom is the boss! It has just been the four of us and Teddy made some great strides in getting over his fears! Teddy always climbs on the couch very cautiously and sits there while mom stands and pets him. But if mom sits down beside him he gets scared and gets off the couch. Well, the other evening mom was sitting on the couch and Teddy walked up to her and stood there and looked at her for a few seconds. And then all of a sudden out of nowhere, he climbed on the couch and sat right down on mom! He has to weigh around 120 pounds so he is one heavy dog but he sat there for a couple of minutes and let mom pet him. It was a great help Teddy get over being scared moment!
We thought we would leave you with this picture! Human bro sent it to mom and we thought it was good for a laugh! Hey…he looks like me! Happy TGIF!
