Us Dogs Didn’t Get To Go To The Bahamas Because…
Mom and dad went to the Bahamas and took human sis and bro with them. Not only did they take our human siblings but they took sis’ boyfriend and roommate.
Our bro, sis’ boyfriend, sis, and sis’ roommate! This is them in the Bahamas.
During that week while they were away we kept asking ourselves why didn’t they take us? Did it have something to do with flying almost 5 hours on an airplane? Or were they afraid sharks would eat us? For whatever reason it was, we still think they should have taken us! We spent the whole week while they were away contemplating this question and we didn’t come up with a good reason for them to leave us behind! So we have decided to ponder this question and maybe you can give us some ideas!
Let’s start with the airplane flight….we would have been really good dogs on the airplane even though it was a rather long flight! Actually, we think mom and dad could have bought us a seat and we could have ridden with them on the plane! How awesome would that have been! I know we would have been the perfect passengers and everybody would have loved us and goooood and gawed over us. Don’t you think?
Or…could it be that they didn’t have room in the rooms that they stayed in? That shouldn’t have been a problem cause I sleep with mom and dad so I don’t take up much room. Teddy could have slept with human bro and Ash could have slept with human sis. So, as I see it, that wasn’t a very good reason either!
Or…were they afraid the sharks would eat us? Well, we are smart enough to stay away from the sharks, duh!
This little shark wouldn’t eat us!
This is a funny looking shark! It is called a Hammerhead shark and I really think us three dogs could take it on and win!
Or…did they think the turtles would snap at us and hurt us? If we are smart enough to stay away from the sharks then we are smart enough to stay away from the turtles! Double duh!
This is one big turtle!
Or…did they think we would get stung by a stingray? If a stingray even tried to get close to us we would have barked and scared it away!
These things have really long tails…the better to sting you with!
Or…did they think we would get sucked out into the ocean and never come back? Oh no…that would have been very scary if that would have happened 
That is a pretty cool wave!
Well, for whatever reason, they decided they couldn’t take us dogs with them. I’m sure they think their reasons are good reasons but I’m not sure about that! I think we would have been perfectly fine and they should have given us a chance to show them! BOL!

My mom just got back from her Florida vacation without us
Last year we went along because she drove. To be honest we were happy to not have a 27 hr car ride each way and Florida was to warm and boring for us anyway. We would prefer that mom just skips vacation altogether and stays home with us

A 27 hour car ride would suck! We wouldn’t like it either! We think your idea is best…the humans should just skip those vacation things and stay home!

Wowee wow wow… what a trip, what photos! You were in our neck of the woods to a degree! Did the humans get to swim with the dolphins? Did they have fun doing that gambling stuff? Did they stay or visit Atlantis??
We’re with you, we think you would have been super traveling companions… not to rub it in or anything… but they have this saying… it’s better in the Bahamas!!! Unfortunately, I don’t think Mom would be able to take us either.

When mom and dad go to the Bahamas they usually have a layover in Miami but this time they flew straight through from Dallas to Nassau. They didn’t swim with the dolphins…sis did that last time they were there. They have a timeshare at Harborside which is affiliated with the Atlantis and is right around the corner from the Atlantis, so they spend most of their time at the Atlantis. The kids and mom, cause she is like a kid, love the slides and the lazy river! They are crazy!
Mom agrees with that saying…it’s better in the Bahamas! Dad wants to retire there but mom says no cause of us dogs:) She says it would be too complicated getting us over there. Gotta love our mom!!!!!
Getting sucked into the ocean and never coming back would be really scary…like that movie, I think it was called Open Water…?
Glad your family is home safe. Hope you all gave them a good cold shoulder for a few days to let them know how much you did not appreciate being left behind!

Oh no…we watched that movie with mom and sis. Now sis won’t go on a snorkeling trip when they are in the Bahamas cause of that movie. Mom should have never let her watch that movie and yes, we gave them a cold shoulder for a few days! They totally deserved it for leaving us behind for a whole week!
I think the humans just wanted to enjoy it for themselves. Ugh! Evuhhhlll!
I’m pretty sure it had something to do with the food. Maybe they were afraid that you might not have the stomach for the food (^^ which I highly doubt).

We hadn’t thought about the fur coat thing. Maybe we should give mom and dad a break about not taking us!
Sorry they didn’t take you sweeties.. I’m sure they were worried about the flight and the water creatures and you being nervous/scared/excited and didn’t want to lose you.
There have been quite a few pets that have been on planes and were never seen again.. I think they had you stay home so they would be greeted by you when they came back. =^..^=

Do you have a pawsport? I think they make it all official to travel and you need papers, and I for one don’t have any, so I always get left behind too, plus the people who run those planes always say I’m too big to sit with the humans, but I’m only 50lbs and I can be very good – If you work out how to get to go on vacation with them, let me know, cos I think we’re all missing out on lottsa fun!!

I think we are missing out on lots of fun too! We are working on getting to go the next time. They won’t be leaving again for awhile so we are contemplating on how to sneak in their suitcases or something!
